As the owner and a life long resident of Harrisburg, my passion for cars began at the age of 17. I began my detailing at our local auto auction which continued on through my early 20's. Now at the age of 43, I am a Certified Auto Detailer, which was always my passion. My family gave me the support and encouragement to begin this journey. PAINT CORRECTION
WHAT IS PAINT CORRECTION?
Paint Correction is the mechanical leveling of clear coat or paint (clear coat is unpigmented paint, clear) to a paint where all the paint is free of swirl marks and light scratches. Swirl marks are essentially a "V" cut/slice in the paint where light bounces around in the valley of the scratch and exits.
Paint Correction is the process of permanently removing surface scratches, swirl marks, hazing, marring, and other imperfections in your vehicles paint. It's a powerful way to bring back the color to it's original shine.
STEP 1: The preparation process. Cleaning and removing contaminants, along with any previously applied waxes, polishes and sealants. this must be completed prior to any paint correction.
A. Wash the car = surface prep shampoo
B. Clay bar mitt and lube
C. Wipe all surfaces down and iron fallout
D. Tape off
STEP 2: Start buffing with coarse pads and work to fine pads.
STEP 3: Polish
STEP 4: Seal the exterior.
Now your paint should be restored (70 - 90%) free of oxidation, swirls, haze, scratches, bird droppings and acid rain.
